AfroLiteracy Development

Afro-literacy, also known as African-centered literacy or Afrocentric literacy, is an approach to literacy education that emphasizes and celebrates African diasporic culture, history, and identity. It goes beyond the conventional scope of literacy instruction by incorporating texts, stories, and resources that center on African experiences and perspectives. The perspective is then combined with the student’s five senses and experiences, scholarship, advocacy, and creativity. Join us as we share practical ways to enhance vocabulary, increase comprehension, and better our writing. All while discovering who we are and who we are meant to be.

Join us for a power hour of how to economically develop a year's worth of literacy activities !!!!
