Designing What Holds
The ED.U. Framework
The ED.U. Framework Workshop introduces a repeatable, human-centered approach to designing meaningful learning experiences. Rooted in the principles of Essence, Depth, and Understanding, the framework helps educators, facilitators, and learning designers move beyond surface-level instruction toward learning environments that cultivate clarity, engagement, and lasting impact.
At its core, the workshop explores how effective educational design begins with identifying the essential purpose of learning, then building structures that allow learners to explore ideas deeply while developing genuine understanding. Participants examine how thoughtful learning design can simultaneously support intellectual rigor and human well-being, creating spaces where growth, reflection, and restoration coexist.

Workshop Objectives
Description:
Throughout the workshop, participants learn how to map learning objectives to broader human outcomes, ensuring that educational experiences nurture not only knowledge acquisition but also personal development, agency, and connection.
Through guided activities and collaborative design exercises, participants apply the ED.U. Framework to a real teaching or program context. By the end of the session, they will have begun developing modules that balance academic rigor with restorative learning practices and leave with a practical design model they can immediately implement within classrooms, workshops, or community learning environments.
